All the women of the present and future generations need to know inspiring stories that encourage us and more stories of heroines in our families. "Common and current" women whose lives, fill and inject optimism... that is the story of my mother in law a woman fighter whose life... INSPIREs us! Let me tell a little of her history In the small town of Naguabo sector Cubuy Josefina Cruz Sanchez “Chepa” was born on November 16, 1947 accompanied by her twin Jose Cruz Sánchez, Parents Mr. Francisco Cruz and Ms. Cecilia Sanchez. The youngest of the Sisters of this family of 8 siblings who are, Pricilla, Ernesto, Blasina, Miguel, Maria Elena, Jose, Josefina Francisco She was a rascal she loved to play with her brothers, she was strong willed, she did not fear of anything she loved life in the field, especially, bathing in the river. She Course until second grade of elementary school. She became a mom 1st her son Tony, then there was Angel, Edwardo and Daniel. Given the circumstances of life she had to move to New York. A city that was for her a strange place and not knowing the language was not easy, but not only raised her children there, but she also exceeded in spite of having low education she worked for 20 years with the New York City Housing Authorities Concierge of the buildings in the city's housing. There she was known as Cruz or Mami, she was loved by all her co-workers and the people who lived there. She taught her Children the value of hard but honest work, she taught them that regardless of the place where you are, that place does not define you as person she made them healthy, honest hardworking men , completely dedicated to their homes, children and families. She wasn’t afraid of the hard life circumstances, she faced them with courage, but one thing I am going to tell you she loved life and lived it with joy wherever she went people loved her, to Know her was to love her and laugh with her unique occurrences. After her retirement she moved to Florida where she was close to her sons, but her beloved Puerto Rico was calling for her, with the support of her children, family and God's help in particular her niece Maria Ortiz (Negri) who help and cared for her with love Chepa bought her house. Sadly because of her diabetes her kidneys started getting sick and began the process of dialysis but that did not change her a bit she was as cheerful and playful , everywhere she went she was Miss Josefina Cruz , when her session ended she wished everyone Merry Christmas and an Happy New Year . Given the situation of Puerto Rico she moved to Florida with her beloved caregiver Janet Rosado who she loved as a daughter. On November 7, 2017 at 7:48 pm surrounded by her children and caregiver she departed with the Lord. This heroine who taught us to fight, love our children, live with joy no matter what comes, and always have God in our hearts we don't say goodbye but until then. Because she will always be in our hearts, Chepa is survived by her children: Tony, Angel and Kitty, Daniel and Daisy, Edwardo and Angie Grandchildren: Daniel Jr her (piki), Dana, Xiomary, Angel Jr, Daniel, Adrien and Christian Great-grandchildren: Shania, Jay-Jay, Ray-Ray, and Kailani. Siblings: Priscila, Ernesto, Blasina, Miguel Angel, Maria Elena, Jose, and Francisco Jr, along with a host of nieces and nephews, In Laws, and friends.
